Following Donna's Lead

This is the summer stuff going on here at the Moore home.

1. Have you heard the saying "It's all about Bailey"? Well we have. A lot. And then if for some reason we missed something ... I see pictures of my beautiful Bailey EVERYWHERE. For instance my cell phone wallpaper is changed to a picture of Bai with the banner saying 'Bailey is my favorite'. (Totally made me LOL!)

2. Did I mention that it is all about Bai? HEHEHAHAHA! Seriously, I was going through the June pictures and 98% of them are of Bai. This means A.) I need to start taking some more pictures B.) It really is all about Bai, or C.) I am too flippin busy to take some pictures and Bailey has some extra time on her hands. I will say though that I am totally diggin' the photos she comes up with. They scream to me to be scrapped!
3. Sometimes it is about us too!!! Even if it is just an arm and leg of Shawn and me with some bugged out sunglasses and pulled back hair.4. I have a love/hate relationship with our Booda-pug-dog. But a few weeks ago he had an allergic reaction to his shots and almost died. It was a scary moment in which I knew this crazy little animal is truly a part of our family.
5. We are smack dab in the middle of a bathroom remodel. It really couldn't have come at a better time ....BWAAAAHAAAA! (super duper sarcasm going on here) We only have one bathroom - I KNOW!! craziness! So we have been working around it and making do. But tempers are short and patience are thin. ALTHOUGH the leak behind the bathtub in the wall (which began this whole process) is fixed! Yes, my hubby rocks out loud. And our buddy Mikey too.

6. School, School, School. Bleck. Not going into too much detail here but four days a week and I have 3 weeks and 1 day left.

7. Shawn and Mason went to a local fishing derby. They didn't catch anything which bummed them both out but the matching shirts were priceless. Let's see which tree did this apple fall off of?????

8. Mason FINALLY got his haircut. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I really do like the shorter hair. Call me old fashion but all that hair in his eyes was driving me bonkers! OK...just came up with a new picture to get and share with ya all....cutie patootie Mason with his new do (adding that to my list)

9. Reading. Mason and I have been doing a lions share of reading. He is in the summer reading program at the library and has been a reading machine. The other night I crawled into his bed with him and read my book while he read his. Side by side. An awesome moment. By the way, I am reading the new Jodi Picoult book Change of Heart and OH MY...a good one.

What I haven't been doing....

scrappin'

bloggin'

connecting

picture taking (mentioned that already)

cooking (fast food, FFA's (Moore-speak for Free For All, and frozen pizza have been the menu)

But I am crossing off blogging, I have chicken set out for dinner and I am going to finish up here and go S-C-R-A-P. I am giddy with the thought!

Hugs and happies to you.

A Handful of Photo Sharing

That is what I have for right now.
I have 10 minutes while my homework is printing out to blog.
So I am sharing some photos and memories.
Info below pics ;O) Bai on her 8th grade promotion. Didn't get as many shots as I wanted but she looking breathtaking. I cannot believe I only have 4 short years left til she moves onto college. SIGH>>>
A picture of myself, my niece and the lovely Bai at her party.
Another party picture. This one of Mase and his cousin Ethan roasting some marshmellow for some SMOORE's. hehehe.
One morning while letting Booda out on his potty break.... I saw this little moon beauty winking at me. Wish that I could capture how beautiful it was in person.
The last photo to share with you for today is one of my little lady showing off her jumpin' skills. Loved these pics! You will see some more.

ALRIGHT....sigh....gotta go get some homework done.
8 Weeks.
I can do it.

Miss ya.
Hugs and happies.

Slightly Crabby...

Yes, I can admit it.
I think I am slightly crabby.
Not bad, but enough to feel grrrr at little things....
*like the trash that should have been taken out yesterday - overflowing
*like the 400 billion beauty supplies left on the counter from a teenage daughter who says she is going "bummy" this week.
*like the cell phone shutting off because I forgot to charge it, which isn't a biggie but I missed Shawn's lunchtime call. ;O(
*like Booda back on his pred so he has to pee every freakin' minute!

The little things that really wouldn't be that bad if I weren't slightly crabby. LOL!

In other 'catch up' news:
I mentioned in a previous blog about my softball game....and....well here is the story.
It was the third inning and my second time up to bat (the first time I had doubled). I hit the ball REALLY good! Even made the professional grunting sound. Then ran like the wind. Now I have also mentioned a time or two about the extra I am carting around because of my lack of proper exercising and really really good food, any way I was running fast to third base and the thrid base coach sent me on and I didn't think I would make it but ran like the wind anyway. The screamed GET DOWN (totally wanting me to slide) so I did and ended up with a sprained right wrist (my diagnoses because for some reason the people in the medical field think they are too tough to seek medical treatment...duh we are smart ones. LOL), a left knee skinned up just shy of hamburger, and some pride torn to heck. OK>>>>>>>this is my cover story. LAUGHING TIL THERE IS TEARS!! The story is all true except the in the park home run-slide-thingy. The truth is that I swung the bat like a banchie but caught the tip top of it and the ball did some kind of plink and I took off bound and determined to get to first. My injuries occured just past the first base. I totally wiped out! It wasn't pretty. At all. I layed there, lifted my head and yelled "am I safe"? Unfortunatly I was. That is the only reason I got up. LOL!

Soooo for the weekend of working, I walked around like a gimp. I had very little grip in my right hand. AND I am so blessed that I have a great sense of humor!

Enough about me...how are you?
Hope all is well and the sun is shining for YOU!
Hugs and happies.

In My World Today

For some reason I feel I need to post a picture when I blog.
Not sure why.
So here is a picture from about a month and a half ago of Shawn and I.
Did I mention that I love that man?
LOL!
Of course I did...a time or two ;O)
But the reason I posted this one is to point out my hair issues.
Donna - how can I make that bulky side smoother?? Is it the cut? Grrrr....I swear if it wasn't for my weight and my hair I would have very little to complain about. HA! OK...enough about that.
How 'bout some other goings-on around here.

Yesterday I had an interview for a scholarship. Totally keeping my fingers crossed and a positive attitude!

Along with the interview comes the story of my black dress pants. They, somehow in my closet have turned into tights. No kidding! The last time I wore them they were nice comfy, elegant, hip looking dress pants and now I had to try and find some undergarments that weren't granny panties because dress-pants-turned-tights show off everything. I am thinking I have gained back those 5-10 pounds I keep losing. Sigh......

Right now Booda is eating one of those helicopter tree seed thingys and I refuse to stick my hands in his mouth to get it out! (Learned my lesson with the dead bird...not even kidding!) So, I hope they aren't poisonous. Danged dog. Danged, too cute for reasons unknown, dog!

Tonight I have a softball game. Actually there are two games back to back. Should make for an interesting night.

I received a surprising email today. Can't share too much because of the whole jinxing before things are set but AAAaaaagggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Mason is doing incredible. Just have to share. I have the mom's guilt that I waited too long to try medication but things are so good right now for him I cannot complain too much. He is going over to his friends homes, riding his bike around our little community, loving school and excelling, he is taking risks and learning....I just absolutely am thankful to the whole medical field for all of the research and hard work they have done. There are little traces of OCD but very manageable.

Think I need to get going.
There are a few things I want to get done before the kiddos get home from school.
Hope you all are having the bestest week EVER!
Hugs and loves.

A Little of This and That

The weekend has passed.
Pretty much a blur.
But here is a little of this and that going on around here (words below the picture):

This is a layout I finished over the weekend. It was one of those stories that have haunted me...literally, every single time I looked at those pictures! LOL. I have said it before not only is scrapbooking preserving memories, art, but it really truly is my therapy.
Our new chore list....let me tell you EVERYONE here loves!!...NOT!! The theory is, every week a person will be responsible for a main room in our home. I am hoping that everyone will get sick of picking up after everyone else realize if they only picked up after themselves there wouldn't be as much to do....woooh. Wishful thinking, but hey - a mom's gotta try.And while I was on a crafty-artsy making thing, I put together some invitations for Bai's 8th Grade Graduation. Sigh...my baby girl is going into high school. SIGH... let's not talk about it right now. ;O)
Although, speaking of Bailey, here is the only picture I have of her and "her guy". No, it wasn't on purpose that they matched. Total cuteness though.

Shawn's bleeding hearts ("that he grew all by himself from seed") are in full bloom. Some are kind of blurry because of the wind, but they are still pretty impressive. My new clearance bag for 5 BUCKS!
AND it's reversible!!! So it was technically only $2.50 per bag because I bought a two-fer!Last of my sharing for today is the total coolness scrapbag from a lss. Ang and her crew have joined the Go Green wagon with this awesome idea. Pretty dang cool and diggin' the bag.

Alright my friends.
Mason and I are off to the library and I am getting ready for work.
Picked up some extra tonight...good times for me.

Hope you all have a fabulous week.
Hugs.
